Testing, 123!

Hello there, this is a test post.  How are you?  Fine, thanks.  This is a test.  Keep writing, writing, writing.  I need a couple of lines of text to test this and see how it works.  I don't know how wide to make my post body or sidebars.  What should I do?  And how wide is too wide?  Which picture looks better, and is this a question of preference?
